@MrShoggoth: Well, I've always wondered about Dorothy's comment about her sexual history in the last panel of this strip: https://www.dumbingofage.com/2021/comic/book-11/03-see-you-in-the-funny-page/tension/ My headcanon is that the non-Danny and non-Walky member of this trio was Joe; I envision a one-time occurrence (before she started dating Danny), with Dorothy deciding, "Well, I have to lose my virginity to someone, so it might as well be Joe, whom I know has lots of sex."

2024-12-30 05:06:55 +0000 UTCSo Dorothy’s been putting on a face to accept Joyce going out with Joe, but she’s clearly still uncomfortable with it. I can’t remember who mentioned it here but someone speculated that maybe Joe and Dorothy went out in high school, and that that’s why she’s so against him and Joyce being together, and I’m curious to see if that’s actually true.

2024-12-30 02:19:44 +0000 UTCDorothy has a bad habit (rooted in good intentions) of treating Joyce with kid gloves, and I think the fact that she’s having to recognize Joyce as a sexual being and having to recognize Joe as anything *other* than a sexual being, is trying for her, but she’s also very self-aware and mindful so I’m sure she’ll come through it eventually
