I seem to recall some calculations that if there were a sound-carrying medium between the sun and Earth, the loudness would be something like 170+ dB even though it’s ~93 million miles away. This is a bonkers level of loudness you might find inside a rocket engine at liftoff. That much loud can do things like condense clouds out of ordinary-seeming air since the sound waves don’t allow as much moisture to be retained.
Charlie is right to be concerned about the sun.
