I've grown to appreciate this movie but I also find it jarring how it can go from happy funny comedy to absolute tragedy with us watching people get spaced and then back to happy funny comedy with Tazerface. Like pick a lane.

Yes Thanos is an awful parents picking favorites and doing that to Nebula, but Gamora never took notice or made sacrifices to spare Nebula. Yes she was a kid, but Nebulas rage and justifications are completely valid to be honest. I feel like if you were fighting all the time with a sibiling, one would notice another's suffering, even as a child. It's a complex situation but I feel more for Nebula than for Gamora for sure.

I only watched the first half of them and didn’t see any spoilers. From what I gathered it all takes place between the end of GotG2 and the end credits therein.

Seriously, what other franchise could do this?? lol Love this movie!

2022-10-07 17:41:52 +0000 UTCBTW, you should definitely react to more Sylvester Stallone movies (including Rocky (all six films), Rambo (all five films, WARNING!: Rambo (2008) will have a snake scene), Cobra (1986, Don't worry, it's not a snake movie. The title comes from the nickname for Sly's character, due to how lethal and precise he is, just like the snake itself.), Cliffhanger (1993, also stars Michael Rooker [Yondu]), Daylight (1996, Viggo Mortensen [Aragorn in LOTR] is in this one), and The Suicide Squad (2021).

2022-10-07 16:36:36 +0000 UTCHappy Friday, Addie! 😊 This was a great sequel to the first one. We meet the newest Guardian, Mantis. Loved actor Kurt Russell as Star-Lord's biological father Ego. And it was fantastic seeing actor Sylvester Stallone(you definitely need to watch the Rocky/Creed movies)as one of the ravagers. I think this movie was a turning point for Gamora and Nebula finally becoming sisters. Yondu has two of the best quotes in the movie: "I'm Mary Poppins ya'll" and "He may have been your father boy. But he wasn't your daddy". Yondu's death funeral always gets me at the end. And once again the soundtrack for this movie is stellar. Next up in the MCU: "Spider-Man: Homecoming". 😊

2022-10-07 16:22:07 +0000 UTCMe too, Addie. Happy Friday. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is a great follow-up to Vol. 1. I even saw this movie in IMAX 3D and enjoyed it, just as much as I did with the first film. And yes, I can hear the bird chirping at the start.
