I think Black Panther is now one of my favorite characters in the MCU! RIP Chadwick Boseman, what an incredible actor.

2022-10-29 04:11:17 +0000 UTCYeah I love this movie. Chadwick is absolutely phenomenal, but my god youre so right Addie, Killmonger killed my soul anytime he was on screen. I couldn't really root against him because he was wronged as a person. His death scene was so sad. When he was stabbed, he reverted back to being that hurt little boy who just wanted to see Wakanda with his father. I wish it could all just be better and that he didn't need to suffer that. Tchallas father really screwed that up by not taking him in. A little boy, growing up poor, finding his father's dead body with no explanation? Yeah he's going to grow up rageful and focused on revenge and nothing else. So wonderfully played by Michael B Jordan. Also Abbie, a small lesson in physics. Yes Vibranium is indestructible, but momentum can still knock people back with enough force. Like when Tchalla was shot with a grenade launcher. He was in midair, with no support keeping him grounded. So the blast had enough force to knock him back. But you saw the suit was still totally fine. We've seen that happen with Captain America's shield too. It's pure Vibranium, just as indestructible but grenade blasts have knocked him back fully before, even though the shield is fine. Because unless you dig into the ground, that strong a blast is enough to knock someone back. But the Vibranium is still completely undamaged. Infinity War is next, and I've got very similar things to say about a certain character in that movie. Just... be ready Addie and bring tissues for sure. π

In the case of T'Chala's father he grew too old to carry the responsibilities of Wakanda's greatest warrior so passed that title on to his son. He was still fit enough however to still act as King so continued to do so until his death.

And such amazing timing for this one, since the LA premiere foe the second one "Black Panther Wakanda Forever" was a couple days ago. RIP always to Chadwick Boseman!!! π€π So many moments hit differently now every time I watch this movie. Especially T'Challa's "As you can see I am not dead!" line towards the end. π This is easily one of my top favorite MCU movies so far. The fantastic cast. And the amazing visuals and music. Next up: "Avengers: Infinity War". And be sure to stock up on tissues for that one. Have a great day today and weekend! π

2022-10-28 16:12:57 +0000 UTCWhen we were in the middle of Phase Two movies coming out and were still dealing with pretty much the same group of characters that were introduced in Phase One, people started discussing which new Marvel characters they wanted to see most. The two I really wanted them to introduce were Black Panther and Doctor Strange. I am SO glad that not only did we get both of them in Phase Three, but that both of their intro movies turned out so well.

Next up, Avengers: Infinity War, that one's gonna be intense and awesome at so many levels and it's the first movie to be shot entirely with IMAX cameras, particularly with ARRI Alexa 65 IMAX cameras. Make sure you have the tissues ready for the next one. Wakanda Forever.
