enjoy me messing up their size difference again :')
also new format, I hope it looks alright!
probably uninteresting rant as a bonus (and as a torture for my bad english and explaining my thoughts):
I was looking through my WIPs/rough sketches a few days ago feeling very frustrated by how I sketch so much stuff but never finish like 85% of it (thanks, adhd). Plus my sick brain doesn't recognize clean sketches, linearts or flat colors as something "finished" and forces me to render everything, otherwise it thinks of it as "worthless".
And I got very tired of it because it takes too much time to render every random sketch (that's why I don't finish most of my drafts) and also I don't think I'm that good at coloring (not that I'm bad, but I feel like lineart is my much stronger side which always gets ruined by aforementioned perfectionism and rendering).
Sooo after my recent positive experience with sketchpage commissions I decided to try and compose some of my drafts into bigger sketchpages/sketchdumps because I feel like when I densely stuff things on one canvas my brain considers it more "finished" than solo sketches and shuts up for a little bit.
As you can see, I still tone them and all that, but it feels much more interesting and less.. idk, hard on my mental health? I'm probably exaggerating it, but this problem has been haunting me for a few years now and I think some of my most harsh burnouts were caused by it as well.
Anyways! What I'm trying to say is that I'll probably start posting more of these instead of random linearts (I'll probably keep monthly PDFs at a 50/50 rate of WIPs for these sketchpages and solo sketches), but I'll also keep doing things in my usual formats as well. Maybe just a tiiiiny less often. I guess I'll just take time to explore new formats in hope that something will ease my struggles and calm down my brain, lol.
Oh and the connection between the sketches is absolutely random! I might do a themed sketchpage or just stuff it with a whole bunch of different things.
Would also love to hear your opinion on what do you like more - solo sketches or tightly packed canvases? Idk, I personally think that sketchpages are a bit more interesting to look at and expolre all the details???
