The Wizard of Oz is a 1939 American musical fantasy film (originally released to mediocre ticket sales) starring a 16-year-old Judy Garland in the iconic role of Dorothy Gale. In a similar vein to Hocus Pocus, this movie would impress upon an infant Lymp and inspire Wicked Witch of the West attire for several fancy dress moments in school, long before I wouldn't dare for fear of being harassed. I think you'd be hard pushed to find a movie with more cultural significance or one more influential so it's a wonder we haven't sit down to talk about it before. According to the Library of Congress, it is the most seen film in movie history.
