I completely agree about the short format content. Our attention span is being trained to absorb less and less information. I have a degree in Audiovisual Studies and one of my professors said to me that in one of his classes he asked the new students to introduce themselves saying what was their favourite film or filmmaker. One kid goes "I don't watch films, cause they are boring, I'm here cause I wanna learn about cameras because I wanna be an influencer." When the kid realised the emphasis of the course is actually film and tv production and that he would have to watch films, black and white ones and silent, he quit the course.
