Yes, I agree!! It;s easy to be critical when on the outside looking in, but when you remember that Devi is a high school kid who just lost her father on top of everything else that goes on in her life, I'd say she is doing pretty good! I loved the parallel of Devi finding inspiration through Kamala in the first season thinking she was a "Rebel" and then Kamal finding inpiration through Devi and being able to stand up for herself. It's so sweet that they help each other so much in so many ways that they don't even know!

Devi tried her best and she genuinely apologised to annesa and also sort of made fun of herself in front of everyone at school that was quite brave of her and then calling annesa’s parents and her mom convincing her to let annesa stay was really sweet. I love Devi she can be really messy selfish rude and stuff but she’s got a good heart and love how strong she is and honestly saying I love that they show her like a person who’s struggling, taking therapy and basically not your goody old shoes main character she’s got flaws and that’s what makes her character for me. Devi hugging her mom was so cute that got me emotional and Dadi- her grandma is so adorable I love her. Above all Kamala wow this is probably my most favourite scene in this show until now she gave it back to that ass and she was just savage loved it. Go Women power 😁👑 Also liked how Kamala looking at how Devi doesn’t take no for an answer and how headstrong she is got inspiration to stand up for herself. My queens are slaying ♥️
