2021-09-26 01:00:11 +0000 UTC100% agree! It’s crazy because I honestly felt that Rumple would have reached his goal of rehabilitation faster than Regina would have, but seeing him struggle still and having Regina succeed for this long has really been something. I’m so proud of her!

2021-09-24 20:23:34 +0000 UTCWatching season 4, I was just glad that they didn’t go down the road of Regina turning evil again because of Marion. They gave us a scare the first episode but it’s good that they didn’t go down that road. It shows how the basic character of hers is different from Rumple who has been trying to outrun his reputation as a coward. He has a lot of insecurities about letting people have power over him. Regina, on the other hand, her trauma was more about losing her love, being abused by Cora, and having no one standing up for her. Belonging and being loved were more important to her than power. At this point it wouldn’t make sense for her to go full-on dark again because she has earned real love from Henry, reconciled with Snow, and been accepted by this family. In the first episode we could see that when she saw her own actions through the mirror, she was pained, and I think that was moment she realized being the evil queen again wouldn’t help her.
