I would love to see your rection but it's totally okay if you want to watch it by yourself :) Yeah the people who wrote the musical watched a documentery about this boy and decided to make a musical out of the story. It's really beautifully done

If you love good Mom stuff and Musicals, you should check out Everybody's talking about Jamie if you haven't already. It's a Musical based on a real story about a boy who wants to be a Drag Queen. They also made a movue adaptation, its on Amazon and its really good. I'm sorry if I made some mistakes in my comment. I'm from Germany, so English isn't my first language.
