Colin bit down on this Role & was mesmerizing as the younger Exorcist, who got his wet behind his ears, sweet puppy, who is not even a Believer, as most, but soon has to become one. He's Soo Good. & In OUAT💗AMAZING multi TALENTED Musician, Mimic Thespian, Artist, juggler, more**🧑🏻❤️ Naturally LOVED as Hot, Romantic, lady killer, Pirate Rebel, Killian Jones Hook, he's also loved by his Cast, & Crew as well. & gives of his generous heart, to so many people & Charities, still remains So humble, & funny, & Versitile Preformer. Just Outstanding❣️ 👁️💗🌎💗 🧑🏻❣️ 😼💯🎬👁️👤💗

It is a Role Colin himself was stirred by & respectful of the experience he can't forget. Anthony Hopkins is amazing as usual, & Chilling as one who becomes what all men fear, taken over by a Demonic entity, that Colin as the younger Exorcist, needs to forget what he is told, & follow his humbling Humaness in order to vanquish that which he has no belief in, in order to remain; & save he, who is possessed, & his Confidant, the older Priest, who has been effected, & taken over by that Demonic vage. Colin O'donahue is incredible in his first big Role as the young man who must delve into a world he has no faith to fight, but he learns quickly that he must lose his own soul, in order to enter a twisted darkness that man cannot fathom. 👤👤& that he clearly like other men, wasn't quite prepared for. Man has too much Pride, to fight off real Demons. Once you have seen Darkness, you can't un see it. Colin himself was witness in learning for his Role as the un certain young man & innocent non believing Accolite, stepping where most men are clueless in devote attendance. Hypocritical, in knowing rhyme or reason. He soon realized truth, & consequence of experiences with subjective standards by the church, he sneezed 8 times then gutteraly coughed up nails. Recesses the mind before the heart. We all have our own beliefs, but to delve into the darker aspects of Soul & body, is quite another thing... Colin found out, the differences, & he was enlightened & forever scared, from the emersive experience. Propelling him into his Role against Anthony Hopkins. Throwing a young Ladd, into the Deep end of Demoncey. 👁️🖤

We come from a World where Religion & belief are more powerful then the people who expect miracle's. Humanity is always at odds with Religion & Spirituality. You really have to be strong to survive & thrive, in a broken World, & the veiw is not what we would always like it to be. Colin was brave coming from his Religious beliefs, & taking on a Role as a Sceptic young man, about to be a part of a frightening conceptualization, of his Countries strict knowledge of something they have no realization, to believe in. Only seen, can Humanity ever truly allow themselves closure, & competencies over such Doubtful clemencies. In other words, sadly, To bare witness, as Colin does, in order to be a part of the High Religious order given to the Church & State, he is baptized into a darkness he is not fully aware, or readied to amerce himself within, till confronted by the pure evil that is misunderstood. & Unless you yourself have experienced such possessions, you can't truly know for certain if the Possessed, is exactly that...

I really enjoy this movie very much myself, and I'm so happy you really enjoyed this movie a lot too. This movie is so well acted from each of the main actors. Anthony Hopkins is always fantastic in his movies, and Colin O'Donoghue as Michael is phenomenal. He has quickly risen to become one of my favorite actors. Of course I love him most for his role in Once Upon a Time. I absolutely love him as Captain Hook/Killian Jones. But he's fantastic throughout The Rite too. He's just phenomenal in both roles, and incredible at showing deep emotions such as he does in both The Rite and in Once Upon a Time. In spite of my reservations with watching horror movies, I initially chose to watch this movie for the first time because I really wanted to see more with Colin O'Donoghue in it. And I'm so glad that I did because I really came to love this movie. Like I've said, I'm not typically a fan of horror movies, but I do love thrillers such as The Rite, and Frequency as well... because both of these movie have a really good storyline with powerful messages behind them. I love that The Rite is about a man who struggles so deeply with finding his faith in God, and struggles to understand what and who he truly believes. Like so many people in the world do. Myself included. And by the end, we learn that it isn't so much that he doesn't believe in God, although he does struggle with his belief, but it's more so that he struggles the most to believe in himself and in his own strengths. Just like I do, as do everyone at some point in their lives. I think this is what drew me into this movie so much, outside of simply watching it for Colin O'Donoghue. Faith is difficult for everyone and while I do believe in God, I struggle deeply with believing in myself and in my strengths, and therefore my own faith is shaken. As it's been for a long time now. As for exorcisms themselves... I don't really know how I feel towards them. I do know they're real, but I'm not sure I can believe in demons possessing people like we see in this movie. I believe there is evil in the world and that the devil is real, but that he tempts us through our sins and we choose whether or not to fall for his lies. It's definitely an interesting subject for an in depth discussion. As for my favorite scenes throughout this movie... I love the scene in the beginning when the young woman on the bike is struck by the van after the priest trips in front of it, as Michael is asked by her to read her her last rites before she dies. This moment for him is very profound and it's a very tender, yet intense moment within the movie. And so sad. I absolutely believe that it was right of Michael to read the young woman her last rites in spite of his struggles with his faith, because he helped her find peace in her final moments. And I feel that this must have meant everything to her before she sadly died. I love the scenes upon Michael learning of his father's death when he's being haunted, or taunted by the demon in all of his attempts to rip Michael's soul apart in order to draw him down the dark path. When he's seeing the demon's visions, when Michael talks to his father who had died six hours earlier and then breaks down upon learning so, and upon learning that the boy had predicted his father's death the night before. I really love Michael's fight to try to understand why he's being tormented by these hallucinations and to find his belief. Also... I really love the very end, as Michael finally believes in himself and in God as he fights against the demon possessing Father Lucas to free his soul. So intense and so well acted by both Colin O'Donoghue and Anthony Hopkins. As well as Alice Braga who plays Angelina. Thank you again, so much for this marvelous reaction, Jessie!
