2022-01-06 11:26:49 +0000 UTCOne thing I noticed some time ago is that there were some possible really subtle foreshadowing (it also could just be a coincidence but interesting) for Henry being the next Author back in the "Heroes and Villains" mid season episode: Rumple has that scene in the car with Regina where he tells her basically that there is no author with control over his destiny. Right after that conversation, Henry (a future Author) accidentally starts a chain of events that leads to Rumple being banished: Henry's talk with Belle led him to knock stuff down from the shelf, which revealed the gauntlet, which is the thing that led Belle to banish Rumple

2022-01-03 01:03:01 +0000 UTCYou keep bringing up 'Couldn't Henry just write away Zelina's baby or the dark power or etc etc... The answer is yes. Henry could do all of that. But as the apprentice told him, his job his to write truth, basically he is like a historian. He is to document reality of what has happened. The last author was corrupt. Even if your intentions are good changing even the slightest detail of reality as the author is forbidden and deplorable. So Henry could do that... But look at the former author. He started changing reality to help Cruella who he thought was in a bad situation. Once he embraced changing reality it overtook him and he became corrupt. Henry makes even one of the changes you mentioned and he grows to become the former author, corrupt and power hungry.

It seems to be able to do a crazy amount of damage when it's not tethered so if my options were his I would've done what he did to to avoid more damage than when it's not tethered.

2021-12-23 17:57:12 +0000 UTCIt's funny that you mentioned that theory that Henry being Merlin because I used to do series and predictions for the show back in the day and when we had this season my theory was that Henry was Merlin and every time they kept talking about Merlin they kept pointing and showing the camera Henry I felt that he is Merlin he grew up without his family so he went back in time as a little kid to bring his family together so he could be with them once again that would have been a great story

2021-12-23 07:47:21 +0000 UTCRumple does have the darkness inside of him, and it most certainly influences him and consumes him. However, he is still plenty capable of being a good man. His choices are still his own, and he proves this throughout the Neverland arc. And yet Rumple chooses to remain a villain by his own choices, because it's easier for him to remain a villain than it is for him to try that much harder to be a hero. Regina has done some terrible things too, but she's trying so hard to change and repent of her sins. And she's done so much good. She wouldn't have light magic within her if this wasn't so. This is what separates her from Rumple, and it's what makes her a hero we all love and route for.

2021-12-22 09:37:19 +0000 UTCThe minute Rumple became the dark one and he started doing magic he was destined to die spiritually while the darkness survives rumple is full evil without emotions. The analogy of rumple being a bad boyfriend doesnβt apply to him it does to Regina and to the other evil characters cuz their evil was a choice they didnβt have literal darkness like rumple. The sorcerer tethered the darkness to a human thinking they could deal with the darkness therefore thinking a human with emotions couldnβt be taken over by darkness. What the sorcerer did was beyond the dumbest thing anybody has done on this show how could a human go toe to toe with something the sorcerer couldnβt end. If rumple didnβt have the darkness in him than and only than does the bad boyfriend analogy fit.
