Idk Dorothy and Ruby have no chemistry and I am not liking how they made Dorothy. And I say this as a queer girl. did not like at all

Its a little infuriating how you can accuse Zelena of trying to steal her own child, its HER child! While at the same time not acknowledging that is exactly what Regina actually did, she STOLE Zelena's child and sent Zelena to another world, away fro her own baby! Zelena has every right to keep her child, she never abused nor neglected her, her baby was taken from her!

With the red tint, Zelena's house looks like the opening scenes from Wizard of Oz, it's kind of cool.
Belle should have Rumple read that book
Wait, Cruella is the Mayor? That makes sense with the whole James is the Sheriff thing...it's like a mirror of Regina and Graham.
Honestly, I see Zelena as a cat person so she might like Dobby xD
I agree with what I said in the last reaction...I want belle and Zelena to be friends....
I'm glad I'm not a soup person
it's funny how this mirrors Snow white. Dorthy was surrounded by Munchkins in a similar way Snow was surrounded by dwarves.
to go along with your question about true love...does true love's kiss only happen once?

I agree, it wasn’t even a full day they were together, it was maybe an hour or so lol So do it to be true love is a bit far fetched!

That’s a good point, I would like a Mulan/Ruby twist a lot better and it would make way more sense. Dorothy and Ruby JUST met and to have that turn into true love definitely feels like they just wanted to tie in Dorthy some how.

Ruby Slippers- Thank you for another fun reaction reaction, Jessie! While I do enjoy parts of this episode, once again I have to admit that this episode is again one of my least favorite episodes within season five. I love Ruby very much, and I am so, so happy to see her return once again. More so... I am happy that she has at long last found her happy ending. Because like you mentioned, she has suffered so much in her life and has seen so much pain and unhappiness. Especially upon the loss of the man she loved. I am happy for her.
However, I must admit that I am not a fan of this love story between Red and Dorothy. For many reasons. Mostly because I don't really care much for the actress who plays Dorothy, or how Teri Reeves plays her at all. I thinks she's boring, and a bit snobbish to be honest. And I absolutely love Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, so to see her played such as she is here in Once Upon a Time... it really saddens me. In my opinion... Red deserves better.
Plus... I am not really a fan of love stories that are developed within a single episode. Especially when the couple are established to be True Loves. If Red's and Dorothy's relationship had been developed over multiple episodes and not just within this one episode, then I think I would understand them being one another's True Loves a bit more.
I have other reasons for not liking them together, but I won't get into them. I know that I am very much in the minority in my opinions. But nonetheless... I must be honest.
Next... while it is tragic that Auntie Em dies at Hades' hands in the way such as she does, and it is a great idea to have Hades kill someone off using water from the River of Lost Souls in order to make everyone too afraid to come to the heroes for help or to help them, I hate that Hades kills Auntie Em, and that her character and story are reduced to a storyline so small and weak. And I really hate that it's told that the rest of Dorothy's family aside from Auntie Em had tried to have Dorothy committed into an asylum because she refused to believe that her time in Oz when she was a little girl had been nothing but a dream. Why do I hate this? One... because once again, I love each of Dorothy's family members in The Wizard of Oz. Her Uncle Henry, as well as Hunk, Zeke, and Hickory. And to hear that they've been written as cold and cruel, is very wrong. And second... because it has been written of Alice's family in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland as well. I don't like that this idea was copied.
As for the secondary storyline between Belle, Rumple, and Zelena throughout this episode... You know how I feel about Belle and Rumple this season, and since season four. I am not a fan of their overall love story, especially this season. And once again to be honest... I absolutely hate that Belle willingly puts herself under a sleeping curse in order to try to protect herself and her baby from Hades, as well as to spite Rumple. Because not only does she risk her own life, but she also risks the life of her unborn child, not truly knowing whether or not a kiss from her father would wake her. I think her act in doing so is foolish and wrong. I know that Snow had once risked her life in a similar way shown back in season three's episode... A Curious Thing, and that it was risky for her to do because she too was risking the life of her unborn child when she had Regina rip out her heart and split it in two so she could save Charming, and yet I loved this part of their love story. Because I had absolute faith that both Snow and Charming would live, and not because we see them both alive and well in the present storyline. I believe in Snow and Charming wholeheartedly. Yet I hate this story idea for Belle to risk her life and her child's life such as she does. If Belle's and Rumple's love were true... if I could have faith that her plan to have her father, or Rumple wake her would work, then I might understand and possibly like this scene a little more. But I don't feel this way about Belle and Rumple. It's also annoying. And for a reason not yet revealed to you, I really hate this idea. I will explain once you come to see what I mean in a future episode.
And while I do appreciate the moment shared between Belle and Zelena, because I really like the bond they develop as mothers... I hate that Zelena's solution she encourages Belle to take is that of a sleeping curse, using the very tool she had used to put Dorothy to sleep. I just don't like the overall idea. I feel like they could have come up with a different solution that would have been better for both Belle and her child. And given that Zelena herself is a mother too, I am actually quite surprised that she would even suggest a sleeping curse that will not only affect Belle, but also Belle's baby too. It just doesn't seem right.
While it's wonderful that Red has found happiness at last, and the moment towards the end of this episode where she shares True Love's Kiss in front of all of Oz is touching, overall this storyline as a whole for me is just so so.
Now... because of my opinions of the love story throughout this episode, and because the whole debacle of a storyline that's going on between Belle and Rumple, I don't really care all that much for a majority of this episode's major storylines.
Now... the one moment within Ruby's storyline that I really do love, is the moment shared between Red and Snow, when Snow encourages Red to find her love and to fight for it. I love their friendship so much. It's really quite sweet.
Next... while I am not really a fan of Zelena's and Hades' love story either, I do appreciate that we can see real changes in Zelena. Even though she is confused by her love for Hades, and she is still unsure if she can trust him at all, I completely understand her indecision to accept him and I appreciate being able to see her indecision. And as much as I love Zelena as a villainess, especially back in the second half of season three, I really do love seeing this softer side of her as well. And I love that she willingly gives up the silver slippers to Regina so that Red can return to Oz to try to save Dorothy.
And while I also enjoy seeing Mulan again too, I feel like her part in this episode doesn't give us any kind of closure or happy ending for her. Her role throughout the backstory is small and unfair to her character. I understand why Mulan is brought back for this episode, given that it takes place shortly after she and Red leave from DunBroch together shown back in the previous episode... The Bear King. I just wish more was done with her. That's all.
As for my favorite scenes and moments within this episode...
First... I absolutely love the moment between Killian and David, when Killian helps David find the strength and courage to return home to Storybrooke without Snow. And I especially love the moment when Killian is shaken and slightly hurt upon hearing David rant about how none of them should have come there to the Underworld to risk their lives, after which David immediately attempts to apologize to him upon seeing Killian feel hurt by his words, until Killian then tells his friend that he never wished for any of them to risk their lives for him. And I love the banter between them when Killian then teases David. It's cute. I always love moments and scenes like this between Killian and David. Because as much as I love the friendship between Snow and Red, I absolutely love the friendship between Killian and David even more.
And second... I absolutely love the scene between our heroes in the cemetery, when Snow and Charming are saying goodbye to one another, as Snow believes that David is the one that is returning home to Storybrooke so he can be with their son, only to learn that David has taken her place now that his name has been etched into the tombstone where Snow's name was until Killian crossed it off. I love that we learn that Killian was able to cross off Snow's name to replace it with David's because we are reminded that while Killian had been Hades' prisoner, the God had enchanted his hand to be able to carve his friends' names into the tombstones as punishment for defying him, which ahs allowed for Killian to be able to help Snow and David now. And it's beautiful. As is the moment this True Love couple say their goodbyes and share a kiss that is just so absolutely beautiful. I absolutely agree with you, that the love Snow and Charming share is truly exquisite. And it's beautiful to be reminded that their actors are actually together in real life upon seeing how real their love for one another truly is. Incredible!! Plus... I also love seeing Emma pull Killian close in appreciation as well upon recognizing the gift he has given to her parents. Snow is certainly the right choice to return home to be with their son, because she does regret the lost time with her daughter.
And lastly... I too love the Blind Witch. I've mentioned this before, but I love that we are getting to know her more and more throughout this arc. She's just such a fantastic character. As is Cruella De Vil too, of course. :)
Overall... this episode is good and enjoyable. The moments and scenes that I love make me still enjoy the episode for the most part. I also appreciate that we're given a beautiful ending to Red's story arc within Once Upon a Time. It is sad that her story arc that was originally written for her had to be scrapped and then later rewritten due to Meghan Ory's departure from the this show within the second half of season two. And while I am not so much a fan of how her story has ended, I still appreciate that the creators and writers for Once Upon a Time were able to write something for Red.
Thank you once again for your reaction, Jessie! You're amazing. And I absolutely enjoyed watching this episode again with you. :)
Sincerely,
Heidi

I know this will be an unpopular opinion, but this is my least favorite episode of the entire series. I'm not against them incorporating an LGBT storyline, but this felt very forced and unnatural. I can never detect any chemistry between Ruby and Dorothy, and I feel like the writers put this in there just to appease the LGBT community, not because it called for it. There are other ways they could have written this episode without the Ruby/Dorothy twist. To be perfectly honest, I would actually prefer Ruby with Mulan. It's also very sad that Mulan had her heart broken previously, and she still has yet to find true love. Why did Dorothy get to find it before Mulan? It just doesn't seem fair. :(

I don´t really get invested in anything with Ruby anymore, for the reason you brought up, she is just popping up whenever, so her stories don´t feel planned ahead of time and just like they put her in them.
Although I guess we atleast got a better lesbian lovestory than whatever that... thing... between Aurora and Mulan was supposed to be.
Hades put some drops of water from the river in the soup, and that was enough for Auntie to melt, since any contact with that water is lethal.
Now you got your answer if Rumple and Belle would be considered true love! It isn´t! And Belle is very aware of that fact by now. Rumple loves her, but not THAT much.
