When Tommy died due to injuries from a car accident (the same accident that killed Arielle, the MC's first wife). It was up to the main character to take care of his best friend's daughter. However, Alanna fell in love with the main character, who, afraid of breaking her heart more, accepted her as a new wife.
Alanna aims to make the main character overcome the trauma of Arielle's death. In this way, she believes that her love will really be reciprocated.
