I think your cabin series is what finally made me become a patreon. I want to see more stuff like this. What area of the country is this cabin being built in?

2019-11-16 04:35:56 +0000 UTCThe cabin looks great. Most log cabins I've seen always have the door on the sides at a 90 to the fireplace, was the door on the end an earlier design? Was the door location based on future use or based on a historic account of an 18 th century cabin? Also is the cabin oriented to keep the window or door to the south and east to keep wind out and use the sun for warming?

Obviously, it's not going to be quite as weather tight as tar paper and asphalt shingles, but using bark seems like a good use of the entire tree, along with using the chopped off bits to fill the chinks.

Our ancestors who settled this great land worked so hard to establish themselves, and your videos of this build give us a glimpse of that. Thank you and your crew for this production!

Quit apologizing for how long this is taking... great work takes time especially when its being done with a limited crew with equally limited resources. Wish more people gave to the effort!
