2021-05-14 16:50:07 +0000 UTCI have a question. My family has always used cast iron as a primary cooking tool. An awful lot of it is iron that has been passed down. Because of this, I have a pretty good feeling for the quality of a hundred years ago compared to today. I use a lot of old Griswold iron and it is so finely cast, so smooth and thinner than what we find on the shelves today. The heat balances out better and, as long as they're seasoned properly, nothing ever sticks. Does Kent know of anyone casting iron of the same quality today? Or is this another lost art? Thanks for all you do. Townsends Plus is AWESOME!!
