This one is about N
Euryale - N's Gorgon bodyguard - is infamous among the patrons of the tavern. She had always been fiercely protective of her master, using any perceived aggression towards him as an excuse for violence. Euryale was an excellent body guard, but overzealous, highly aggressive and did not tolerate any scorn towards her master. But she finally fell from grace when Euryale turned her wrath towards the Mistress' favourite bar maid. The maid got bit too close to flirt with N for Euryale's liking. The maid dangled her bare breasts, whispered dirty secrets into his ear, and reached for his sword bulging in his pants. Euryale believed she was literally going for N's sword, and without hesitation she turned the hapless girl into a statue. Livid with rage, and commanding an infernal presence no one dared to oppose, the mistress threw Euryale out of the tavern. She had Euryale caned, and then fined N for the damages his slave had caused.
N, not ever wishing to draw the Mistress' ire, agreed to all terms and apologised profusely to the Mistress. And in a spark of genius he had the perfect solution: Euryale must work off the damage she had caused by joining the undead warbands scouting the caverns for cult activity. It was a match made in hell: The undead were immune to her gaze, and with her heightened senses she could effectively track the elusive cult through the caverns. Skeletons were tough, well equipped, and good duellists; but absolutely helpless when tracking or spotting the highly secretive cult.
The Mistress had a new weapon against the cult, the tavern's hot springs got a new water feature, N had a way to pay off his debts without lifting a finger, and Euryale could unleash her bloodlust on the cultists. Everybody wins in this arrangement. Except for the cult of course. They shall never win.
