As I understand it, there are scenes and character arcs that were in the manga that got cut in the anime, and the movie will implement those. So I´m not sure if its a retelling of the same events as the anime, or how they plan to do it. But there is no big unanswered cliffhanger that they left us with for 10 years. Its interesting to see that Karma always was kinda intimidated by Nagisa, he could sense that talent for assassination and was caught off guard by Nagisa, so he distanced himself.
