Anime?
Added 2025-06-02 13:00:15 +0000 UTCAnother quick one: I've had quite a few people ask about anime reactions over the last couple of months, and not having watched any, I'm kinda curious! I'm basically trying to gauge interest at the moment - I'll probably put a similar post up on the community tab on YT - but I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
Having done a little research, episode lengths seem to be pretty short, so I could probably add an extra slot for it. Any thoughts?

I'd be steering clear of anything done by Studio Ghibli because I know they seem to take great pleasure in taking reaction channels down. I'd also probably upload anime reactions to a separate channel to be safe too.
I'm looking at TV shows primarily at the moment. A rudimentary search of reddit for good anime shows to start with are things like:
Attack on Titan
Death Note
Demon Slayer
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Others came up too but I don't remember them (I don't know if any of those listed above are Studio Ghibli either as I haven't checked!). If I do end up doing some, I'd definitely be asking for recs on what to start with!

One that is out there, but is getting a lot of traction with reaction channels is Dan Da Dan. It is….very strange, but quite humorous and does work in moments across the spectrum of emotion.

2025-06-03 03:34:47 +0000 UTCI honestly am not a big anime fan and have only watched a few, but would love your reactions on the most popular ones like HunterxHunter, Haikyuu (Volleyball Anime, really good really hyped as well), jujutsu kaisen, demon slayer and others like that. It can be a tricky field, with the whole sub vs dub debate, and also the toxic community some of these have, but it would be cool too!
