Batman Begins full-length reaction

For copyright reasons, full-length reactions don't include the show or movie footage, so you'll need your own copy to watch along with me. Ideally, you'll need two screens or two browser windows. One for the reaction, and the other for the show you're watching. Using your phone is also viable to watch one of them.

As many different streaming services in different countries often play trailers or recaps before the show starts, the easiest way I've found to sync up footage is to find the first RECOGNISABLE frame (ie. not a black screen) of the episode. Don't worry, I'll show you the frame to look for at the beginning of each full-length reaction!

This will be:

✨The first frame of the opening credits.✨

OR

✨The first frame of the cold open.✨

Once you've found the approximate frame on your copy, pause it. Next, play the reaction and you'll see a countdown timer at the end of the intro and when the show is about to start. Press "play" on your copy when the timer reaches 0:00.

A small (but muted) portion of the show will stay on the screen to allow you to properly sync up your copy if you need to adjust it. The easiest way to eliminate any small discrepancies between the two is to rapidly pause and unpause the video that's ahead until both are running simultaneously.

Note: Some of my older shows might have the first frame after the opening credits.

I truly hope when u finish dark knight trilogy, you move into Man of Steel and the Snyder verse (extended cuts of Batman v Superman and Justice League) comes next **dc journey lets goooo**

Hopefully Everafter

Great reaction as always. This was essentially, at least in spirit, Nolan's version of a Batman: Year One (a very famous comic outlining the first year Bruce came back to Gotham). At the time Nolan was still a relatively unknown Director outside of Memento (another of his I'd highly recommend at some point), which was critically acclaimed but primarily only well known as a breakthrough indy film in cult circles. This was the movie that truly put Nolan on the map as far as general audiences were concerned, and then The Prestige and The Dark Knight cemented his notoriety. This was also his first team up with composer Hans Zimmer, as well as the first of many times we'd see familiar actors like Bale, Cain, Murphy, and the like who would revisit many a future Nolan film. If you do ever get around to Oppenheimer, that's one that Murphy truly shines like a diamond in. Given just how theatrical and campy Batman had been treated prior to this in cinema Nolan thankfully went for a more grounded, gritty, and realistic approach rather than the very stylized earlier films. While the second film (The Dark Knight) is the true masterpiece of the trilogy, this one did remarkable things to revitalize the cinematic image of the Batman character overall given just how poorly it was treated by Schumacher in the 90's films. I'd say this is probably, at least IMHO, the best single character trilogy ever made as far as comic book film adaptations go. Quite a remarkable achievement given just how early on it still was in Nolan's career. As to your questions throughout the film, Batman's "superpower" is basically that he's rich. :) As for your guess and keen eye, yes that was a young Joffrey Baratheon in the Narrows. I will give you a non-spoiler heads up that the actress that plays Rachel in this first film was replaced going forward in the second. There's no real link between this trilogy and any specific comic or film universe as it's stand alone, but I would recommend checking out the Snyder films at some point (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman extended edition, and The Justice League Snyder cut) if you're interested in seeing more of the characters from the DC universe overall. Certainly not all the films from the DCEU as it's a bit of a mess for many a reason I won't go into here, but the Zack Snyder entries specifically as well as the first Wonder Woman film are worth a look. Also 2022's The Batman was yet another attempt to jump start the character that's certainly worth looking at. Although I will say that the subsequent Penguin show on HBO ended up being even better than the film that spawned it (something to check out if you're interested in seeing Colin Farrell shine) . I'll look forward to your Dark Knight and Rises reactions. Hope you have a great week.
