X-Men Origins: Wolverine full-length reaction

For copyright reasons, full-length reactions don't include the show or movie footage, so you'll need your own copy to watch along with me. Ideally, you'll need two screens or two browser windows. One for the reaction, and the other for the show you're watching. Using your phone is also viable to watch one of them.

As many different streaming services in different countries often play trailers or recaps before the show starts, the easiest way I've found to sync up footage is to find the first RECOGNISABLE frame (ie. not a black screen) of the episode. Don't worry, I'll show you the frame to look for at the beginning of each full-length reaction!

This will be:

✨The first frame of the opening credits.✨

OR

✨The first frame of the cold open.✨

Once you've found the approximate frame on your copy, pause it. Next, play the reaction and you'll see a countdown timer at the end of the intro and when the show is about to start. Press "play" on your copy when the timer reaches 0:00.

A small (but muted) portion of the show will stay on the screen to allow you to properly sync up your copy if you need to adjust it. The easiest way to eliminate any small discrepancies between the two is to rapidly pause and unpause the video that's ahead until both are running simultaneously.

Note: Some of my older shows might have the first frame after the opening credits.

This would be the first stumbling block that Fox had in their Marvel universe. As confusing as this might sound, this isn't the Deadpool you'll eventually meet later on. This was the first of a few of the Fox/Marvel films that was pretty divisive. Ironically, because Deadpool was so mischaracterized in this film, it's what lead Ryan Reynolds to later "leak" the infamous Deadpool test footage online (can still be found on YouTube, but I'd save that until you get to the actual films) and later get the character completely rebooted in a more comic accurate version. But don't forget what you saw in this film as it will be referenced in the future.😉 Since audiences were a bit lukewarm on this film and the next because they strayed so far from the comic origins and storylines of some of these characters (also because some of what was in this film was clearly over the top), they tried reworking some of this material later as well. Gambit was a bit of a fan favorite (more behind the scenes lore on that later) as was Liev Schreiber's version of Sabertooth in this film (a character you previously met in the first X-men film that they were trying to revamp here as he is Wolverines brother in the comic). This was the first of what was supposed to be a string of "origins" films but since it didn't fare well at the box-office the idea was scrapped in lieu of doing full on X-men films again. Fox was very haphazard with the characters so don't expect the continuity in this universe that you got with Disney/Marvel and the Infinity saga. Just kind of let it wash over you as it's going to be jumping around a bit going forward.😏👍 Awesome reaction as always and have a great week.
