Looking for VR Feedback

Now that the VR update has been up for a couple days, can anyone tell me how it reacts to devices other than the Quest 2? Does it work at all? I would really like to know.

Make sure the headset is plugged into your computer and you’re running steamvr. Then give chrome permission to go into vr (it should prompt you) it takes a few minutes sometimes to get it up and going but you should see in the vr headset that it is loading. I did have to restart my computer to get it to run the first time

Yes, the sound is not yet working on any VR devices and it appears it will take some work to figure out the cause.

Chrome should work, as it supports WebXR. I've been told that for non-standalone devices you need to open a desktop panel and use the desktop version of Chrome, which should ask you for permission first. I'm afraid I can't offer much help for devices other than the Quest 2 right now.

The controls are contextual depending on what character you're controlling and which state they're in, but for the default states on the Q2 they're currently: Always: Y: Pause Geier (default): Right trigger: Grab attack Right squeeze: Bite attack A: Accidental AV attack Left trigger: Elbow drop attack Lotti: A: Jump Right trigger: Rub cheeks

Sorry, I didn't see this response until just now. Patreon is not good at notifying that you have replies. That's strange, though. You should be able to see a floating panel displaying the pause menu when the game is paused with options you can select by pointing at them. It's possible you may not see it if you've walked too far away from your initial starting point and/or through the panel.

What did you use to get it to work? I tried chrome, Firefox and edge but none of them worked.

Lastly, what is the current control mapping in VR? I didn't realize I wasn't sure if I was able to jump around or not in VR until I was testing getting back to the menu in 2D.

Awesome! I think sound would help a little too. Even just like something ambient in the background so it isn't disorienting !

I have a Quest 2. Not sure if it's on my end, but Y (VR) or ESC (2D) pretty much just stops time until it's pressed again (or in the case of 2D, you move around again). This applies to both in stand-alone (Quest Browser) and through SteamVR (Microsoft Edge) in VR, and Edge or Firefox in 2D. Problem is the only way to get the menu to pop up again is to click the browsing bar outside of the site window, so it's not actually an issue with the VR-itself, but an invisible wall once you're in there. Anyways, I do like the floating or standing option, since I am standing in a room and especially when Geier lies down, I'm pretty much getting a worms-eye view of the scene.

Thanks for the feedback, glad to hear it seems to work the same on a different device. I'm hoping to add controller remapping soon to better support other devices.

The ability to change camera height is a good idea. I'm also thinking about having two modes: floating and standing, with floating being how it works now and standing working as if you were standing in the scene.

Thanks for the feedback. On the Q2, the Y button should open the pause menu, though I don't currently have a good way to show that. Your comment was a little unclear, do you have a Q2 or something else?

Im using a valve index! It takes a little time to load and it’s a little tricky to navigate the controller settings. No sound at all. Solid work so far!

No sound other than footsteps as stated or updated in last post with Q2, but still VR adds so much to the game. Fantastic job so far! Only suggestion I'd make is setting one of the unused button to being able to go back to the menu or respawn after digestion, and the up/down on the right joystick, not Geier's after-vore pose dictate the camera height.
