Defend The House 2?

So the NDA has been lifted and I wanted you guys to be the first to know we are launching a new channel/project (not to replace DTH but to go alongside it), the only unusual bit is it's on Facebook...

Now this factor might be a hard sell for people (I have the fun task of trying to explain this to the rest of the community in a vlog soon) but I think it's something that will benefit everybody in the end.

So the main questions are probably what? and why?

What:

We have wanted to do more personality based stuff for a while along with livestreams, this was never going to happen on the normal DTH Youtube channel, it's important to me that the channel is focused and it's theme/format/quality goes untouched. We were going to make a new Youtube channel but then Facebook came along and told us it was joining the internet gaming video race, it wanted in. Why?:

A big reason for Facebook is they will pay more. This obviously sounds very #sellout out the gate but DTH is an entity that would REALLY benefit from having a better income. One of the big things I have wanted to do (except from moving out of my parents house) is hire people. I can't keep up with all the video games that come out, I missed out on Rainbow Six Seige and Fortnite across the year, DTH can not be missing out on games but I just don't have enough time to do all this myself. The money we earn from Facebook will be able to go back into the brand and push it further, I want there to be way more content coming out on the main channel by the middle of the year. I already have 2 people who will be helping out this year under a paycheck, hopefully we can keep expanding. 

The 2nd reason is because I don't trust Youtube to win this battle. Youtube has been so shit across 2017 and continues to hurt and irritate so many creators I am really worried about how many people will leave if Facebook starts to gain traction. Facebook has 2 billion users and for a lot of people its their main social space, this could bring everything under one roof. I think it's a wish move for the DTH brand to try and build an audience there.

Lastly the most important thing is, it doesn't matter if you guys or the community aren't interested. People are here for the myths and if people don't want to check out our Facebook page for livestreams, silly game challenges and hangouts, that's understandable. What's most important is this will benefit the main channel, the DTH crew and give you guys more content if you want it. If you don't want it, the normal videos are going to keep rolling along.

When it comes to the actual content, i'll announce the finalised list of shows/series we have planned soon, we are doing test recordings this weekend. For the streams some of it will be unique (live myth recordings, multiplayer madness, community game nights, Jackbox party pack etc) and some of it will just be chill hang game time. I plan to stream every night Mon to Fri so there will be a variety if things to come.

I have no idea how people are going to react to this but hopefully in a few days time I might talk to one of you guys at a livestream!
