The future of DTH

Hey guys, sorry for some radio silence recently, me and Jamison are currently in the process of figuring out how we continue with DTH in the future.  I think the obvious problem we have at the moment is the Myth series we do are too situational and game release dependent. Sometimes we strike gold like with GTA V or Battlefield 1 but if there isn’t a variety of interactive items in the game, the series just doesn’t work. We had a new Red Dead, Fallout, Battlefield and COD last fall and we only managed to get 6 Myth videos out of all of it. I am in no way saying the Myth series will end, it’s why people subscribed but it just doesn’t work for consistency sake and that’s what Youtube want’s now (and likely forever). Call me bias but I think the content me and Jamison have been making since late 2016 has been pretty high quality but the subscriber count has only risen by 35k or 40k. What we are doing is just not working out with the Youtube algorithms. Usually when a channel does quantity > quality they rely on a Patreon to sustain that, that obviously hasn't worked out for us (except for you generous folk), we expect that is due to a lack of human-element on our channel and something we might need to fix in some form.

Now obviously, none of this is your concern and its down to us but I just wanted to apologise for slow-down and give an update. One positive change is Jamison is upping his involvement with content, it has mostly been me making the videos with the occasional thing being produced by Jamison but this year, he wants to become a much more frequent content creator. The aim of 2019 is to expand in a way which allows us to keep our quality but be more consistent. We're brainstorming now, sorry for the delay, I'll turn off Patreon payments for the next month while we figure things out.

It's time we finally figure out how to run this channel smoothly.
