iβm so glad to see this come up π so many are almost scared to react to it because people get so offended. i donβt want to see a sanitized and completely unrealistic movie full of what many of todayβs parents think a teenager should have been in the 80s. i was 10 when this came out and my sister was 16, so i know exactly what high-schoolers were like. i love the messages and the characters and john hughes films in general. canβt wait to see it with you! π

It's a fantastic film. I still remember coming out of the theater after seeing it then going to the payphone to call my parents to pick me and my friends up. A vivid teenage memory.

ππ this movie is a classic even in black households. My sister and I watched it probably a dozen times when we were kids. Havenβt seen it in forever tho, I hope it holds up.
