That makes a lot of sense. I was just assuming it was Taika Waititi's connections

Is it awful that I was glad when Tofer bought it? I felt like was trying to leap frog Guillermo! Not having it. 😂. Also, the high 5 thing was annoying...and even worse after zombie-hood.

The reason this show got so many big actors to play small roles in single episodes is because the movie was so amazing (widely critically acclaimed). So when they made the show, they had all sorts of interest from tons of actors.

Topher, the new familiar is Haley Joel Osmet the little boy from the Bruce Willis movie The Sixth Sense! “ I see dead people. “
Last seasons, vampire council each, vampire on the council were all famous actors using their real first names!
Tilda Swinton from Lord of the rings, Paul Rubens AKA Pee-Wee Herman sadly I can’t remember all their names, but it was pretty awesome!
This show had grown on me by the fourth episode.
At first, it wasn’t driving with my energy, but it was Guillermo who I stuck around for!
Now I’m into the swing of things and it’s so much fun.

Bits and pieces on these episodes:
It usually takes a lot for me to get interested in a sitcom but this one is a smorgasbord of delightfully ridiculous tomfoolery. I feel like it was made just for me! Makes me think I should check out some other mockumentary-style comedies.
To the others watching this for the first time: Who’s taking bets on when Guillermo finally goes postal?
I love how Haley Joel Osment’s out here having fun just playing a bunch of side characters. I’m glad he came back to Hollywood and that he’s enjoying himself.
I think my favorite of the vampires is Nandor and his near-constant 😬 face. (he’s also very handsome irl 😬)

I knoooww! This series flies 🦇😆 by on ya. We’re going to be finished watching it together way earlier than we’re ready for 😢. Well…I mean, HOPEFULLY. Let me explain lol…
So, I just want to address how you’re feeling about the treatment of Guillermo, mainly because it seems to actually be stressing you out. And because of that, I want to give a little bit of advice on how best to enjoy this show: it’s best not to view it with the same weighing of character’s morality, fairness and behaviors that you would other shows. Likewise, don’t take any hardships that characters go thru too heavily. It all should be experienced with a much more light hearted lens than that.
But please, also don’t consider this as a spoiler regarding anything to do with Guillermo. This is advice about the humor and vibe of the show in general, which is often irreverent, course, rude, unjust, flippant and even a little problematic and inappropriate at times. The core of the show is dark, a little shocking, and mostly ridiculous. BUT, for me, it all works in the end because the show also sprinkles those main elements with healthy doses of whimsy, wonder and even heart - shown in this episode with Colin Robinson legit comforting Nandor for a moment (before sneaking in his joke lol), and Nandor authentically accepting it. And that’s the recipe that makes it work: the sweet with the sour makes both better. BUT notice I said these things are SPRINKLED lol. So if the sour does get to be too much for you…it might not be for you? And that’s totally fine! I think this style of humor and general vibes isn’t for everyone. I think of it along the lines of The Addams Family universe, or Beetlejuice, which are two things I dearly love, but I know are specific tastes. Anyways, hope that might help some, but if not, and you end up bailing, it will be understandable. Hope you can stick it out, though! ☺️🦇🖤

The actual necromancy ceremony is exquisitely crazy. The importance of the fee required is amusing. And then the scatting begins, too funny. Guillermo and his stocked mini-fridge is so telling....his ancestry may indeed come in handy some day! As for all that built up ghost "ectoplasm"....you wait right here, I'll go get you a towel! LOL!!
