I was with you about suspension of disbelief in that one scene-- especially when wolfgang kept blowing into her lungs without doing chest compressions in between, like, where's all that gas going?? i do still encourage you to check out their movie cloud atlas if you're still craving similar content. the characters aren't literally connected (like, telepathically), but their stories connect via their life having a significant impact on the next person's life (so it's set in, like, 6 different time periods). bae doona (who plays sun) is one of the main characters also, so it was really nice to get to see her in this show, playing a very different role.

Fuck Yeah, and for that i am grateful. so many stories, especially ones with queer characters, end in tragedy. in another story, amanita dies painfully in nomi's arms, or hernando and dani are killed for shock value, or some other terrible fate befalls them bc they're queer and they don't get happy endings. but not this one; nomi and amanita get married on the eiffel tower! is that realistic? god no. do i care? god no! they're in love and it's beautiful and i don't care that it doesn't really make sense bc at least i get to see the characters i love happy and together. we get all the reunions and introductions that we could ever hope for. jella meeting sun? killed me. will and riley's father? dead. mr hoy is alive? fan fucking tastic! they chose joy. they could have taken this a thousand different ways, but they made the choice for their very, very queer show to end with Joy. and a very cinematic and beautifully scored orgy. and i love that. i watch a lot of tv and i enjoy thinking critically about it as a story telling medium, and for this it was just nice to have one ending where everyone got to be happy together.
