2025-11-12 12:43:35 +0000 UTCI think you'd enjoy the film Kneecap since you love cultural analysis! About the Northern Irish rap group of the same name, strong themes of anti-colonialism and promoting endangered languages, just a fun time all round. I know from how you loved Derry Girls that you'll be able to keep up with the accents 😂

2025-11-12 12:43:13 +0000 UTCLiking the choices here, but an absolute YES PLEASE to Frankenstein, The Peanut Butter Falcon, and Silence (Even though it looks like the last two might not have enough support, aaaw maaaan)! Gladly recommend all three! As for films not already on this list, have you seen The Death of Stalin (2017) or Four Lions (2010)? They're both comedies, in a sense, but the former is generally about the power struggle in Stalin's inner circle immediately after their leader dies, while the latter concerns a group of young British Muslim fellows who become wannabe jihadists. Also dropping Trainspotting (1996) here again, because I'm stubborn and think you'd find it interesting, at the very least, haha!

2025-11-12 06:49:00 +0000 UTCIf you ever fancy watching some European films, I really recommend Anatomy of a Fall (2023) (a top-notch psychological legal drama) and The Teachers' Lounge (also 2023) (compelling drama about, you guessed it, a school teacher).

2025-11-12 04:11:15 +0000 UTCI feel like you would really love 3 Idiots. It’s a Bollywood movie that has some really impactful moments while still staying comedic. Possibly my favorite movie.

2025-11-12 03:11:04 +0000 UTCShoplifters (2018) is a Japanese-language film I think you’d really enjoy, if you catch it streaming somewhere.
