Sketchy

Probably you might think it's strange, but for me, they are just the perfect couple xD and this scene comes after some time of pondering and roleplays.

I like to roleplay and write so I started to think about the relationship between these two. Then I ended up with an idea in the midst of my adventures and here it is how everything started!

Hope you will like this incipit as well as the sketch ahah.  "They've met one day, seemingly at random, in Wangshu Inn.

Aether was doing his regular commissions with Paimon and he managed to take Childe with him promising fierce battles and some more interesting reward. For the fatui, who was looking forward to fighting instead of training his new recruits, that seemed like the ideal solution: escape the didactic sermons, seizing the opportunity to spend more time with someone who had proven to be on the same level. Almost.

It was a day like any other, the sun was shining on all Liyue and as always Mrs Verr Goldet (Wangshu Inn's boss) was dealing with some interesting demand. Hilichurls decided to attack some caravans full of supplements from Lyue Harbor and it was up to Aether and his team to solve the situation.

All happened just after being discharged by Verr Goldet and going down through the main entrance, at the base of the tree, ready to go on their adventure. A man, distinguished, out of the ordinary, serious looking, with dark hair and gloomy eyes, drew the attention of Paimon while she was complaining, for the umpteenth time, about how she didn't have a chance to ask Chef Yanxiao for something to eat.

<<Hey, hey! Aether! Isn't that Xiao?>> the high-pitched voice of the little flying pixie echoed into the Yaksha's ears, who seemed coming back from his countless "adventure". So, he wasn't having the time of his life, basically. The adepti's glance pointed immediately at the trio, not paying to much attention to the tall and red-haired guy behind Aether's back who looked curiously at him, he ended up simply puffing in the direction of the blond boy to then turn the other way and continue on his path. Aether, for his part, could barely greet him with his hand, finding himself with that gesture in mid-air and a smile a little surrendered on his face.

<<Mpf. He'll never change! It wouldn't hurt him being a little kinder.>> a grumbling Paimon was the first to let the bold comment slip.

<<Wasn't he, by any chance, the "Vigilant Yaksha"?>> Asked the Fatui Harbinger, who had only observed silently the scene and -in some strange way- had provided Paimon, the darling little girl, a snack.

<<Sure it's him! It's just that he isn't the chatty type.>> Paimon laughed, just after Aether's answer, while the two moved to take the road.

<<C'mon Childe, let's go have some fun!>> the young voices of the two companions tried to get the Fatui's attention, but the 11° (eleventh) Harbinger was busy looking far away. Through Wangshu Inn's balconies, meeting the eyes of one of the strongest deity of Teyvat for the first time.

And that's how our story begins."
