This is another episode where you misunderstood the events because you missed the flashback where Eren ate his dad earlier in this season. He didn't leave Eren in the woods. He turned Eren into a pure, mindless Titan with the syringe, then let Eren eat him to turn Eren back into a human/shifter titan. Like when the mindless Ymir ate Reiner's friend Marcel and it turned her into the Ymir we know. Grisha had already eaten Frieda at this point, which is how he passed the Founding Titan onto Eren, along with his own Titan

Dots are starting to connect and truths are being presented. Two major truths remain, how are the enemy titans and what is up with Eren father....
