Be Prepared Remix
Added 2020-08-04 23:35:29 +0000 UTCI had a lot of fun making this one. I love how much better my work gets every single image I make. This one I am very thankful to fredherring for letting me use her work as a starting point. For me perspective and posing probably takes the most time in my works and are often what I improve in the most.
And by improve I mean the things I end up hating about older works. This one was just fun since I didn't have to spend hours working out the details of the body and surroundings and blah blah. Instead I got to just really have a ball with making it my own and playing with colors.
I still wish I could have had more time to work on it. I wish I could have put more time into the 'props' and background. Still figuring out how to strike a good balance when it comes to that. I really enjoy realistic figures but being too realistic with objects, faces, shading, detailing, etc. just leads to a weird uncanny valley effect. Maybe soon I will do some more stuff of this genre and with items.
But for now I am off to work on the next piece!
