Author Update and Question

Hi All,

I hope you all have been enjoying my story, thus far.

I have to say how much I truly value having your support for my novel. I'm honored that you all value my work enough to support it.

While more drawn out than most novels, I really wanted to build out the characters and world in a slower fashion than I've seen in other novels. I truly believe there's value in setting a tone, relationships, and settings, and I hope that comes across in my writing.

The messages, likes, comments I see every time I post, spur me to write better and become a better author everyday.

Here's the part that I am having trouble with, though.

As I mentioned in the past, I currently work two jobs, in addition to writing this novel and it's definitely a struggle.

With some family issues coming on the horizon, and my second job becoming more involved and the new situation requiring me to work longer... I'm being forced to make some tough choices.

Both financially and with my time.

Ultimately, I wanted to get your guys' suggestions on how I can try to work this out.

Please note, I DO NOT want you guys to increase your pledges, as a response to this.

I just want a way to have more people read my book and possibly increase the number of patrons that I currently have. If I can make this financially feasible, I can lower the amount of time that is needed with my second job. Potentially, maybe push back against the need for increased hours.

So, here are my questions:

1. Do you guys have any tips on what I can do to market myself better?

2. Do you know of any sites that might be more receptive to my work?

I'm currently active on Royalroad and Scribblehub. I've tried Tapas and Wattpad, but those didn't seem to get even a single view. I may be marketing myself incorrectly on there, so I'm open to suggestions.

3. Would you guys be open to 2 chapters a week instead?

With that amount per week, I would be able to maintain and potentially increase engagement on content.

Such as: Working on the Discord, making it operable and fun; Getting artist engagement, to create character images/content; and other things you guys might be interested in seeing. I'm open to all ideas, at this point.

I truly love writing this novel and value the community that has formed around it. Things have just gotten to the point where I can't lie to myself anymore.

While I plan on never taking this into hiatus, if I don't solve this issue, I'm going to have a bad time.

Let me know your thoughts!
