I've got some news for you! Steam is coming along quite nicely still without any setbacks, so I'd like to dedicate this dev update to something more interesting and related to the second project.
I mentioned in the earlier post that I'm trying to work on the skin texture. While it's really far from being production ready, I have some Katherine images to show the new skin! Hopefully, you'll enjoy it as it looks like a major improvement from the previous version.
You'll get to see Kath's abs with the new skin and also something more eye-catching located slightly higher! No face reveal yet, because I'm still working on eyes, which weren't the best in Deliverance - now they have to feel more alive and alluring, so I'm currently stuck at Cornea, Iris, Eye Moisture, Sclera graphs to produce the best quality possible.
All that improvement doesn't come without a price. Render times went through the roof. A few times longer than in Deliverance even in the simplest scenes! With upcoming 4090s this wouldn't be an issue, but I'm still 'stuck' with a 2080Ti.
Quality > Quantity is what I learned, so I'll be spending way more time rendering, I guess. What you'll see isn't the end result. I'll still try to balance the quality / render times issue.
Other than that, I'm still purchasing assets, licenses and everything else needed for the game. Thousands of dollars already spent and I barely scratched the surface.
Excuse the noise still present in the image, it was a quick render just for demonstration purposes.
Things that need to be adjusted:
- overall shininess,
- micro details,
- tests with different lights
- all textures needed for Katherine's face.
But all those things will be shown with character reveals next month!
Also, Katherine's titties coming soon for higher tier Patrons! And maybe some extra renders too!
