Dev update #76

Hi!

Steam release in a couple of hours! Final touches, but mostly sitting and stressing out over something I can't change (anymore). I'll be taking the next 2-3 days off, because there is no point in pretending I'll get any work done while always checking Steam and stressing over it.
So I decided to take a couple of days off, calm down, and watch how my 3+ years of work are received by even more audience.

Steam link if anyone's interested in checking it out: STEAM

What else I've been up to?
I'm still buying assets and modifing them - characters mostly. I'd like their figure, height, body type, face - all of that, figured out before I start texturing. So putting the shader I first showed on characters from Deliverance onto new girls, adjust it accordingly to their maps, and present them to you. THIS MONTH! As promised. No delays are acceptable!

But tweaking and texturing characters isn't the most interesting job in the world, and adjusting sliders for a couple of hours can get a bit tedious and I find myself paying less and less attention to how the end 'product' looks. At that point, I stop and I move on to something else.

What is this mysterious something else?
Writing. One thing that Deliverance taught me is what kind of writer I am. I'm not a 'gardener' when I plant ideas while writing scenes and see where characters, storylines take me, and I'm also not a writer that can pose, render and figure out storylines at the same time - everything on the fly without earlier preparation. Nope. I mean, I can do it, but the quality of work is significantly lower than when I have time, and without any stress or pressure, I figure out the outline for the whole story, for side stories, and what's most important for each character. After all, not everybody plays an adult game for the story!
I need to know where each character starts and what does he / she has to get through to end up where he / she is supposed to be. That is a lot of extra work thinking ahead 2 or maybe even 3 years to build a proper storyline for each character AND, one more crucial thing, that the characters and storyline work together.
Lots of lessons from Deliverance - we'll see if they come in handy.

Take care!

So far? Can't complain. I hope it will stay the same in the future! :)

Thanks a lot! I didn't expect that! Supporting me here is already enough, but thank you so much! :)
