Dev update #77

Hi!

I'm not gonna lie I've been enjoying the first couple of days off like never before. After all, it was my first 'vacation' since February and I deserved it (I think).
I'm pretty sure some of you have been checking how my Steam release went and to those disappointed - not all stats are true!  Especially if those are estimated stats. Low number of people playing right now, not that many followers compared to other games - it doesn't look that great. Terrible, in fact, but that's not true. Those stats don't show everything.
The Steam release went truly GREAT and this week has been nothing else but amazing. Probably one of the best of my life. Tons of wishlists, lots of people buying or being interested in Deliverance - and that only means one thing. I'm the happiest man alive.

When I started my Patreon I had only one brave Patron for the entire month. Yup, $1. The next month, I released Ch.2 and ~1.3k renders in total  - $13.  And to think that I came all this way to have a successful Steam release, operating (and doing quite well) itch.io store, and, of course, so many Patrons supporting me EVEN 2 MONTHS after the final release is the best feeling in the world!
So thank you all for being here, supporting me, and giving me feedback! You all made this possible and I'm pretty sure I don't say it enough.

One downside, though. All that stress, and (that's the crucial part) having a couple of days off have a significant cost - I'm sick. Again. It's not that bad and I don't think it's going to get worse.
I'm sick enough to NOT go to my day-job, but not sick enough to be laying down and recovering, so I've been spending most of those days in bed WRITING. Writing, planning, creating story arcs, character arcs and, the most important part, connecting them all into one coherent story. I learnt a lot from Deliverance. Mistakes I've made and chances I've missed and I'm putting all that knowledge on paper.

I'll continue writing and planning until I'm stuck or I'm tired of writing. I realize I made some promises about character reveals and as soon as I go back to full health, I'll prepare and show you some of the main cast. Yup, this month!
