Dev update #89

Hi!
It's been a while since we got a good news only post, but today is the day! Firstly, I was hoping to get a 2-3 weeks off from my day job to go on a vacation for at least a week. But unfortunately, my initial and secret plan of releasing Episode 1 by September failed miserably. I understimated the amount of work necessary to produce a full scale update. No vacation for me this year. So now, the next two weeks I'll focus only on being a dev. No more day job, no more splitting my attention. Full steam ahead!

Most of the writing corrections I intended to do is now complete. Still a couple of scenes need to be written (including a sex scene), but I'll save that for later. A couple of days ago I began the production meaning that I started doing my first renders in the new, improved workflow. I'm still getting used to it, so I'm probably not as efficient as I was in Deliverance, but give me time, and I'll be able to bring you the best content I can in a reasonable amount of time.
And holy moly, I'm having fun posing characters. Honestly, I haven't had this much fun since... forever. It was always nothing but pain. Animations especially. But since my workflow change, I'm having the time of my life posing, making lively (but not exaggerated) expressions, setting up props, and even lighting! And I must admit... things are looking great!
I'll be completely honest. I thought I was facing severe burnout after finishing Deliverance. The last months of the Deliverance development became a deadly race against... I don't even know what. Time? I was scared that if I'll have to pose one more character one more time, I'll hate it. And that's a slippery slope. But nope. I was never more wrong!

For the first time I feel like ever, I'm having fun. I'm motivated and willing to spend whole day posing, coding, writing, and anything in between. And that's a huge step to create the best product I possibly can!

(Oh also... The game's title may change. Don't get used to it.)

Take care!
