Hi!
Good news only today! The new improved workflow for static renders I mentioned in the previous post? It's performing wonderfully! Let me dive in and explain what this means.
As you all know, I've switched to a new software for animating. I hope you've noticed the impact of these changes in animations, seen both in the new scenes from Episode 3 and the reworked ones.
As it turns out, the same workflow IS possible for static renders too! I pose all characters for each scene, export skeletons, and use a simple retargeting process to make my characters follow the exported skeletons - in the most natural and fluid ways possible. This change has allowed me to create incredibly lifelike poses, especially for complex actions like dancing or fighting. And the best part? Even while I'm rendering scenes, I can keep working on creating more poses, which means I'm getting more done in less time.
There won't be any alterations to the workflow in the near future. I've checked the software roadmap, and while facial rigs might be on the horizon - which will be groundbreaking, it's not happening anytime soon. So, this refined workflow is here to stay. My focus now is on mastering it and bringing you the best results!
On the creative side, most of the writing tasks are now complete, and while I've only scratched the surface with the coding, I've set up all the essential events without diving too deep yet. There's still plenty to do, but I'm making smooth progress and feeling incredibly motivated.
Episode 4 (part 1 and 2) will mark the grand finale of Season 1! Get ready for some Steam updates in the coming months!

Looks like we've got a tie between Cleo and Natalie for the Monthly Render reward! Given that Natalie has already had her opportunity, let's give Cleo a chance this time around.
