Dev update #179

Hi!
Progress on Episode 7.1 is going decently well. I’d love to say everything’s going smoothly... but it’s not. Rendering has been giving me a hard time lately, and I honestly have no idea why.

The queue is ready, scenes are set, and the GPUs should just chew through them as usual. Normally, I’d use that time to work on other stuff—music, sound design, etc—but now, the whole thing keeps freezing up. I have to keep restarting the software, reloading the queue, and manually resuming everything every few minutes. Super annoying. I thought maybe the scenes were too heavy, but even smaller ones are causing problems now.

The good news is: everything’s still on track. At least I can keep writing and coding while this weird issue works itself out (or until I figure out how to fix it). The rest will have to wait a bit.

So yes, it’s going slower than I’d hoped—but it’s moving. At this point, all I do is work and sleep, just to squeeze out as much dev time as I can.

As for the release! Episode 7.1 will land in July, no question about that. Exactly when? Hard to say yet. Somewhere between mid and late July, worst case.

A small spoiler for the curious: there are 8 sex scenes in this update. It doesn't sound like much. But a few of them—especially with the most beloved characters—are very long, sometimes split into parts as the party keeps going. So there’s definitely a lot of fun packed in, just as expected.

Oh, and the dresses. The goddamn dresses. Every pose, every character... I have to smooth and adjust every single one. It’s painful. But hey, I signed up for this. I knew it’d be hell. Still worth it, though. All those girls in tight dresses are worth every extra minute spent posing.
