Sophie I know this is a highly reviewed anime, but I tried watching it on my own years ago and I couldnβt even bring myself to watch the second episode. (was it 2nd or 3rd? canβt remember) π I love Attack on Titan and I immediately watched the next episodes after the first, but I find Vinland Saga, with its more realistic context (not monsters that donβt exist in real life like titans), so much more horrific and heavier. Maybe I can bring myself to finish watching this anime with someone, with you. π π°

2025-09-25 14:06:33 +0000 UTCNote that this is written before watching any part of the reaction.Very excited for this series, I loved the AOT commentary and was considering staying subscribed for a bit even though I knew I wouldn't watch for basically any other stories. It's no offense to other series, many of which I enjoy. It's just that most others don't offer much depth. Most other shows just aren't quite on the level, both live action or anime. But this one is honestly really close to AOT, and it will be interesting to see your perspective. Every woman I've ever shown this show does not or refuses to understand it, as well as most men. All I would say is keep an open mind; Where AOT presents a relatable perspective to everyone regardless of sex or gender, I think this is one of the best growth and coming of age stories into specifically the inherent male mindset. and it's certainly meant to be written that way. Glad the Pateron came through and steered you to a towards much deeper story than a bunch of fun slop alongside it. They're all fun, for sure. No hate towards them and I watch some others far more often, but sometimes we all have to be reminded that we have no enemies.

Looking forward to your feelings on this show. Itβs a bit like AOT - mature, grounded, and brings up a lot of realistic and important themes about humanity and how we live our lives
