(Eros, Philios, Agape). i think most languages have a few. Well, Rem loving herself, she did call Subaru her reason to die. I would suggest Subaru saw himself in Emilia a bit, in that 'She'd waste her life' going around helping people, seemingly for her benefit. Like does call to like. And, the 'if Rem could love me, then EMilia could'... I would say is more he sees what Rem is oding, and wanting to be that for Emilia. Not saying is good, but minor difference in look. ... Love is complicated...Nasty, it really can be that deep. Not neccesarily a show/plot, but 'love'. Also, a reason why arranged marriages can (and historically do) work better than 'love matches' To me, I find the white whale terrifying. To remove someone from the weave of existence completely?
