She needed to hear that, bit harsh way / tough love, but even being remainded blunt truth can change a lot. Also, she just wanted to put everything on herself, she didn't want any1 else die, to the point where she didn't care if she dies. (remember she was acting like dat even as kid) Luffy just remainded her, dat she can count on friends too, even if at cost of a life. sorry my eng suk Xd
