By now, he acted out I believe in Ep 7 or 8 towards Raswall but in the same breath he recognized his place....So he's really developing into a complex character to analyze. He's now much more aware than he used to be

Just that he's thinking about his version of what he wants for Emeilia... Really what i'm seeing his intense hyper focus on a singer point or objective and not seeing multiple perspectives of other people in regards to what he says or does.

2020-08-25 11:25:35 +0000 UTCI think you can say he still has Emilia as his selfish image what she is, as Subaru really doesn't fully know who and what is her past. So he only knows what he has seen and interacted with her, which in grand scheme hasn't been much. So Subaru still has a wrong image of Emilia compared to what it would be if he really fully knew her.

2020-08-25 04:45:23 +0000 UTCRoswaal tried to take the trial because the villagers were being held under house arrest in the Sanctuary and he didn't want them to get too unhappy about their situations which might have caused some problems between them and the residents of the Sanctuary. So he went into the graveyard knowing he would get hurt pretty bad because he doesn't have the qualifications to attempt the trials, only to show to the villagers that their Lord was trying his best to free them from this situation. And it also would make Emilia look better if she was able to pass the trials and free the Sanctuary, which is something that in the villagers eyes not even Roswaal could do.
