especially the intro sets the mood. I think it gives the experience a deeper feeling. Because in those two minutes your brain is kind of forced back into the story, before the actual episode starts. TV shows have an Intro for a good reason. It feels off if the episode just starts out of nowhere. it works if you binge, i guess because the mood is already set. But the first episode needs an intro

The old guy was explaining that if he keeps throwing sand over into his hole he will just fill up one with the sand of the other, which is pointless. To which Luffy replied.. "Aah! So it is a mystery hole!" because he didn't get it.
