Yea. It’s a solid suggestion. We record the same amount each week and edit the same amount. So the only thing i could do to fix it is slow down my YouTube edits a few time or record more patreon videos for a bit. But. Erza is at her capacity. So other opinion is lower YouTube for a bit. I’m the one who can record the most out of us two because of her work schedule and I’m Naturally an energetic person. Sp your idea can probably applied when she has the time and strength to record some extra for patreon. I also don’t wanna push her. Because she likes the show. I don’t want her to lose that spark.

When Ace said that his thinking was so warped, because in spite of everyone getting hurt and killed, he couldn't help but feel so happy that they all loved him this much... Man... Oda went gritty realism as fuck there. Like... reached DEEP into Ace's psyche, pulled out the most raw and conflicted and visceral emotion/thought there was.... the thing that occurs as a fleeting feeling in people's minds, but they immediately brush it away and scold themselves for even thinking it because they know it's wrong... and made Ace say the quiet part out loud. And it's even more signifcant because that revelation comes right after the flashback where people denounce Roger as worthless, and Ace begins internalizing that he's that "worthless" pirate's son. And because Ace is just a child, he can't articulate his emotions all that well, so it clumsily comes out in the form of a question with all his experiences behind it-- "Was it good that I was born?" But Garp immediately understands what's actually behind that question and Ace's recent behavior, more than what than Ace can articulate. If he just said "Of course!" that would feel like a hollow platitude. And he doesn't want Ace to give up on life. So instead he gives Ace a TRUE Grown Up's answer: "That's something that you'll only find out as you live on." Ace never forgot that. So when seeing this demonstration of love from the Whitebeard Pirates and their Allies, he's able to conclusively say that he kinda wants to live. And Garp knows exactly what Ace is referring to.

Your discussion at the end about Garp is spot on, was great to listen to. Also, a suggestion, maybe try and increase the gap between episode numbers on YouTube and patreon. Maybe like 20 episodes earlier on patreon than on YouTube. And post on YouTube community tab where you’re at on patreon. You could attract a lot more patrons. I could’ve become a patron for you guys a lot sooner than I did, but I felt like the episode release gap between patreon and YouTube wasn’t much so I didn’t mind waiting on YouTube. So I’m sure other people would feel that way unless they see you guys are like far ahead on patreon. Would be good for business wise for you guys. But damn, can’t wait for the kizaru cosplay lol I wonder when it’ll show up lol

Lee the whole notion of good and bad is very gray in One Piece. The Celestial dragons who enslave all kinds of races are ruling the world government that the Marines and Navy work for and defend. The straw hats have helped almost every island they visited on their journey... yea they are pirates but all that really means is that they are free from following the rules of the world government. There are both good guys and bad guys on both sides, but what truly defined that the world government are the bad guys to me is what they did to Ohara for having too much knowledge.

Yh... you gotta realise, Luffy WANTS koby to be a strong marine, that’s koby’s dream, even if Koby did one day beat and capture him you think Luffy would be mad? Nah ones a pirate ones a marine that’s just life, freedom is like the biggest thing luffy screams about, even as smoker hunts him down luffy considers him a “cool guy”, Marines are enemies but see how quick luffy befriends them if they were to feed him, that’s why mihawks quote rings more accurately, since luffy has made friends with people on both sides of the spectrum, and has supported people on both sides too. Luffy doesn’t give af bout politics “I don’t need to conquer anything it’s just that the pirate king is the freest person in the world” my favourite quote in the entire series, and it’s mindset that makes him likeable to people on both sides, once you contextualise everything, the fact his grandpa is a hero of the marines yet raised Rogers son should say a lot about the dynamics between Pirates/ Marines. Koby standing there and doing nothing would probably anger luffy more than him actually doing his job

Its kinda genius how Oda put some kind of levity in this heavy arc where people are dying everywhere by putting Buggy into the mix for comedy purposes Also how luffy just shred 20 years from his life..in animes they dont mean much for protagonists but knowing Oda, it may play a vital role
