So many people had the same reaction. Mahito gets a lot of love! I know you’ve finished it by now, but leaving this comment anyway, as many are still confused by the timeline and flashbacks in this episode. By the time Junpei meets Mahito and then Itadori, he has already dropped out of school. He never goes back (except to try to kill the remaining bully). The other scenes of Junpei getting bullied are both flashbacks.
