shipping off Jumonji with Saegusa is weird. Especially when he tried to have Tatsuya marry Saegusa in S1....

Not quite right. They're somewhat similar, but not the same. Gram Demolition is the spell dismantler, it essentially disrupts the magic sequence to disable magic being casted.
Mist Dispersion targets the physical body and is the other skill Tatsuya uses a lot to thanos people/objects that we saw in S1. He used it against the No Headed Dragon and also in the Yokohama arc against the truck that was coming for the building and also against people. As the name suggest, the people targeted literally dispersed like mist. So he would've insta deleted Lina if she didn't have Parade on.
Also, Trident is, like the name suggest, a sequence of 3 magic processes that is built into his CAD. I won't go into much detail but it basically dismantles most defenses against Mist Dispersion within the first 2 magic processes and then cast Mist Dispersion against the now vulnerable target. It is essentially a combo that makes Mist Dispersion even more deadly than it already is, and is the reason why you probably confused Trident and Mist Dispersion, because Trident basically is a way to use Mist Dispersion. This is what is known as Demon Right as well.

I thing there is something like Gram demolition is the Tanos snap for Offensive spell and mist dispersion for is the same but with zone effect or for defensive spell there something like that in the novel I don't remember and Trident is the Lethal spell of Godsuya on molecular level, the Aunt talked about that
