I was a bit reluctant knowing the cast was down to....Emelia. But we are ready for Raswal...i mean Part 2. So we watched Frozen Bonds for it’s context. It certainly has it’s moments.

This OVA is just hinting about the truth for Emilia's traumatic past and showed to us how she made the contract with Puck and lived alone in that frozen forest. Season 2 part 2 will tell us more about Emilia's past so not long till January to start learning the truth.

This was part 2 of the OVA at the beginning they talked about the date, that is in part 1 where rest of the cast appear compared to this Emilia backstory. Btw you remember Gluttony witch and what were the 3 animals she made? Whale..Rabbit...Snake/Black Serpent =)

I believe that half-elves are considered their own race in the Re: Zero universe and take similarities from full blood elves, but are quite rare. As a matter of fact, Emilia and The Witch of Envy are the only 2 half-elves that we've seen. When people call her a "half-devil", its their way of talking badly about her. Its a racial derogatory word for half-elves, so half-devil is not an actual race, and subsequently, witches are not their own race either. Half-devils don't exist, and witches exist as a subset of people, separate from their races. (example: Echidna from S2 is a witch, but she's a human witch). As was said before too, this movie is only about half of Emilia's backstory (if even that), and the rest of her backstory will come in the 2nd half of season 2 in January, so there's a lot more to her character left, and from season 2 onward, Emilia will start to take on her actual main heroine role in the story. I hope this answered some of you guys' questions!
