Yep, glad y'all caught onto this notion of Justice for the Marines. There's definitely a spectrum of Justice for each marine, some appear more compassionate and understanding and some are more brutal and absolute.

The same thing happened with nami, luffy didn't help till she asked, because in all honesty, luffy usually doesn't care about his friends past, Luffy is the best at reading people (blackbeard at the bar, bellamy, letting robin in the crew etc) good captain values, heck he even let ussop in the crew because "we friends now" and was the one who called connis out in sky island for trying to lure them into a trap, he has his moments

Robin's backstory hurts each time I see it. I've seen it maybe a couple dozen times and it STILL doesn't get easier after all this time. Fun Fact!
