Catfish rant - yes catfish are seen by some as a 'lower fish' since they eat a lot of stuff at the bottom, it gives it a more earthy taste. But lobster also used to be seen a peasant food. Yellow onions also taste 'muddy' compared to white & red onions, which is why taco dishes typically use white or pickled red. But it does taste amazing fried. Light and flaky like from battered 'fish & chips', or with a more cornmeal coating - 'blackened catfish' - a bit healthier and still slaps. I grew up night fishing for them constantly with my redneck dad. You don't reel in the line regularly like with fooling & catching bass, you just set it with a sinker weight so the hook&bait floats just above the bottom, and simply wait (hours) for the bite. They're pretty fucking stupid and are guaranteed to try and bite whatever smells good. You can/should also have several poles up at once, but will get fined if it's more than 3 typically. Which is why it's good to bring a kid along. The struggle is avoiding snags, since they like to have dens like under riverbank near tree roots. You can also catch them via bank poles, using PVC tube thick as a quarter, maybe 4ft tall stuck in the edge of the river bank, with fishing line and hook on the end. You set em up one night when fishing then come back a day or two later and check the ones that are bouncing, checking the others later to see if bait still there. You can also put pool noodles around the pvc and let the whole pole-line setup (maybe 14 inches long) be free floating in the river, with reflective tape - tho it requires a boat. You just go at night with flood lamp so the tape lights up and check the bobbing ones again, then at end of night collect the ones that aren't bobbing. Those methods are illegal, but when you're poor and hungry it don't matter. As long as you're not depleting local ecosystem, which is harder out in the middle of nowhere, an hour away from civilization, as opposed to a very public fishing spot where there's a real threat of overfishing and messing up future generations.

it's worse in this anime than any other, but I guess this is kinda a parody. At least they address the fact there's a whole system of skills and levels that must have been instituted by god-like beings.

So much wall of text for abilities, hopefully that will come down at some point. So this episode made it certain she will be that spider goddess girl that eats the world in opening. I am now over 90% certain that is her, when she is fully in her goddess mode.

The spider evolved 2 times, and just barely came above 100 in the stats. The dragon evolved once, and is above 700. Somewhat unfair. About Taboo, Kumoko already is at lvl 4, if we assume the as all other skills the max is lvl 10, then she is nearly at the half way point. And it seems she cant be friends with people of the church that can use appraisal. n% I = W , is the skill she has Pride is: ｎ％ of the power to reach godhood. Upon acquiring, experience points and proficiency will greatly increase, along with improved growth capacity for every ability. In addition, the user will gain the ability to surpass the W system and interfere with the ＭＡ field.
