2021-03-05 20:36:34 +0000 UTCJust a heads up cause it's left very vague in the anime but Joseph's stand was implied to have gotten less accurate as he aged and grew senile since stands need mental fortitude to function properly. That's why when he tried to get pics of his own son he instead got a bunch of Angelo. In the manga, Jotaro specifically says they need Joseph cause Hermit Purple can also travel through electricity which we saw a few times in part 3 and he could locate Chili Pepper by doing that.
